Kasaragod: The Kasaragod police team led by Deputy superintendent of police managed to nab four accused in connection with the house burglary case in Kadambaru katte of Kasaragod district.
The four nabbed are Mohsin Anwar (23), resident of Kundukolake; Abrahaman Mubarak (26), resident of Udyavara Thoominadu hilltop area; Mohammad Hanif (26) from Udyavar and Mohamamd Imtiaz (28).
On the night of September 9, the six member gang broke open the doors of Ravidranath Shetty’s residence. After gaining entry, the inmates were gagged before they decamped with 240 grams of gold, Rs 30,000 cash and car. The car was later found abandoned in Panambur area of Mangaluru city.
The investigation team lead by Kasaragod DySP M V Sukumaran succeeded in apprehending the four culprits. The police recovered Rs 22,000 cash, one gold chain and a diamond ring from the four accused. It is learnt the accused have sold the rest of the jewelry to stores in Mangaluru.
The accused were produced in court and are now in police custody. Police are now on the hunt for two more who are absconding.
