Journalism course in Sandesha inaugurated

Manglaore: The Journalism course-2013 organised by Sandesha college of fine arts and Canara communication Centre was inaugurated by district information officer of DK district, Smt. Rohini K today on 5th of August in Sandesha auditorium.

Smt. Rohini in her inaugural address wished good luck to the aspirants of the course. She said that a journalist should be sensitive to the changes happening in the society. In the modern times the jounalism has emerged as a powerful weapon and we should use this for the right purpose by giving importance to the reality.

Bishop of Mangalore, Dr. Aloysius Paul Dsouza was the president of the ceremony while the key note address of the course was given by Director of Manipal Institute of Communication, Mr. Varadesh Hiregange.

The programme began with a prayer dance by students of Lourdes central School, Bejai.

Director of Sandesha Rev. Fr. Victor Vijay Lobo welcomed the gathering while director of Canara Communication Centre, Rev. Fr. Richard D’souza rendered the vote of thanks. Ms. Sparsha Dsouza was the MC of the programme.

The course will be from August 5th to 22nd between 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM at Sandesha. The course is intended to cover various aspects of jouranlism print, broadcast and web media. The participants will be awarded certificates during the valedictory function which wlill be held on 22nd August at 5 PM.
