Mangalore: The department of collegiate education has organised a job fair for government colleges students at the premises of SDM College of Business Management on Sunday, June 28.
Minister for higher education RV Deshpande inaugurated the programme and UT Khader, minister for health and family welfare and B Ramanath Rai, minister for forest, ecology, and environment were the chief guests.
Veerendra Heggade, dharmadhikari of Shri Kshetra Dharmastala presided over the function.
Devanand R Gaonkar, joint director of department of collegiate education said students of 32 government colleges from Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Kodagu districts will participate in the job mela and 1000 students are expected to take part in the mela.
Registration fee of Rs 100 will be collected from each student and around 70 companies will conduct the interviews.
