Jayaprakash Hegde files nomination

Udupi, Mar 26: Congress leader and sitting MP Jayaprakash Hegde submitted his nomination papers to Deputy Commissioner Muddumohan  on March 26, Wednesday.   Hegde is seeking re-election from Udupi-Chikmagalur Constituency where he won in the earlier by-polls.

Addressing the media after filing nomination, Jayaprakash Hegde said that the Congress party workers are united.”We all are working towards the betterment of the constituency and will continue to do so.”

A confident Jayaprakash said, “We will win by a margin of nearly one lakh votes.”

Vinaykumar Sorake, Udupi District in-charge Minister and several party workers were present outside the DC office while Union Minister Oscar Fernandes, Chikmagalur District Congress President DL Vijaykumar and senior leader Motamma were present when Hegde filed his nomination papers.
