Moodbidri: Swami Charukirti bhattaraka of Jain mutt, here expressed happiness for dispatching 12 idols among 20 ancient idols that are worth several crore of rupees and have great religious significance which were stolen from Siddanta Darshana Jain Basadi a few months ago, by courier to the office of City Police Commissioner.

Addressing media persons here on Wednesday, Swami Charukirti explained the names of different idols that were in possession of City Police Commissioner now.  He stressed that its due to the concerted efforts of law enforcing agencies, judiciary and legislative assembly; the stolen the idols of historical significance were returned by the mafia thriving in this illicit trade. 

The mafia returned the idols in a postal parcel fearing CBI probe that would unearth its overseas associates and fearing long arm of law enforcement agencies supported by political power, said Swami Charukirti.
