Bangalore : The name of KPCC Secretary Ivan D’Souza has been finalised as the fourth candidate from the state for the Legislative Council elections. The name was finalised by the high command after a meeting at New Delhi.

Others  whose names have been finalised are KPCC President Dr G Parameshwar and  former ministers HM Revanna, Rani Satish and Niveditha Alva, also a KPCC Secretary.

The list of candidates has been submitted to Sonia Gandhi and the final list is likely to be announced on Saturday June 6.

As far as Rajya Sabha is concerned, it has been decided to continue the membership of SM Krishna and BK Hariprasad. The Third candidate’s name is not yet finalised. Meanwhile, CM Siddaramaiah has recommended the names of entrepreneurs Channa Reddy and Konanakunte Lakshmana. However, there is opposition to the same in the Congress itself.  The  final decision is left to the discretion of Party President Sonia Gandhi.
