Bantwal: Evaluation related discrepancies are nothing new in SSLC and PUC exams. In a latest instance, it has come to light that as many as 12 pages are missing from the answer sheet of a student of Koila Government High School who had appeared for SSLC exams held this year.

Rajitha, daughter of G Damodar Bangera and Shashikala Bangera of Govindabettu had secured just 37 out of 100 in Second language(English). The low marks could therefore fetch her a total marks of 431 out of 625 though she could have otherwise passed in distinction.
Before applying for revaluation, Rajitha secured a copy of her answer sheet when the folly came to light. Of the 20 sheets she had written for the English exam, only eight pages were found, while the rest 12 were that of some other student. The difference in handwriting in the first eight pages and the 12 other pages are evident.
Rajitha says she could have secured at least 85 marks in the subject had the evaluator had corrected the 12 sheets which she had written.
There is a rule that evaluators can be penalised upto Rs 1500 in case of any discrepancies during evaluation. What measure would the Examination Board take in this case? Will justice be delivered to the student?
