Mangalore :After Congress candidate B Janardhana Poojary continuously targeted BJP PM candidate Narendra Modi for not revealing his  marital status and  is now happy that he was right,  the BJP has decided to counter Poojary by alleging that he has failed to mention his wife’s name in the affidavit and also has left blank the column of dependents.

Addressing media men at the BJP Election Office on  Saturday April 12,  State Mahila Morcha Vice President Sulochana GK Bhat said  Poojary who has failed to mention his wife’s name has no right to  question about the marital status of the BJP PM candidate Narendra Modi.

Coming down heavily on  Poojary’s assurance to provide reservation for Brahmins if elected, Sulochana Bhat  said this was nothing but vote bank politics. “Otherwise, why didn’t  he  strive to provide reservation when he was union minister and MP earlier?”she questioned.

Taking a dig at the Congress for often raising questions on Modi’s marital status,  Bhat said  if the BJP wished it too can question many things like who killed Sunanda Pushkar, the wife of Union Minister Shashi Tharoor.

Interestingly, Deputy Commissioner and District Returning Officer AB Ibrahim has said  all information furnished by Congress candidate Janardhana Poojary  are in order and there are no anomalies.
