Mangalore:  Police have seized 17 trucks today , while it was  transporting sand illegally to Bangalore from Mangalore.

The trucks were seized  at a location behind Kannur mosque.

It was learnt all the trucks seizead did not carry permit. For this illegeal transportation of sand they would get about 50,000 Rs per load.

This operation was led by Tahsildar and Mangalore rural police, while more details are awaited.
