Mangalore : A protest was organized by the by the Hindu Jagarana Vedike (HJV), under the leadership of Sri Rajashekharananda Swamiji of Gurupura Vajradehi Math on December 27, Friday,  condemning the Deralakatte kidnap and blackmailing incident.

The protesters assembled at Sri Rajarajeshwari Siddi Vinayaka temple premises after taking out a bike and car rally from Konaje to Talapady.

Addressing the gathering, Sri Rajashekharananda Swamiji of Gurupura Vajradehi Math said, “The culprits who  are involved in the act must be severally punished.”

Alleging that injustice has been done to Hindus, the Swamiji also said some groups were trying to divide the Hindu community. He warned that Hindus mist 

He warned that if measures are not taken and the accused are not punished the Hindus will protest against this injustice by blocking and sitting on the roads.

Hindu Jagarana Vedike Satyajit Suratkal, Bhajrang Dal convener Sharan Pumpwell and others were also present during the protest.
