Mangalore : DK District Congress Spokesperson Ivan D’Souza has said the Congress party has lodged a complaint with the Mangalore Police Commissioner against the malicious propaganda by a few in social networking sites against DK Congress candidate B Janardhan Poojari ridiculing him as a Golibaje seller.

Speaking to reporters at the District Congress Office on March 15, Saturday, he said  senior Congress leader B Janardhana Poojari is an ideal leader who is  now offended  by creating wrong impression in public minds  through the social sites. He said such pictures depicting Poojari in poor light are widely publicised and alleged political conspiracy as a motive behind it.

Kallige Taranath Shetty, another senior leader demanded stern action against those who are projecting Poojari as a Golibaje seller in social sites. He said the opposition parties are resorting to such  tactics out of fear of defeat. He also requested the police department to undertake a thorough probe in this regard.

Congress leader Nazeer Bajal was also present.
