Bangalore : Sandalwood actress and Mandya MP Ramya  has given a shocking news to her fans. She has formally announced that she would be bidding good bye to the film industry.

Mandya who is  popularly known as Golden Girl of south film industry, while speaking to a private news channel during the shooting of a song for  the film ‘Aryan’ in the capital said “ I feel acting is enough.” She then announced that Aryan will be her last film.

The actress said she has some pending work in the movie ‘Dil Ka Raja’ which she said she would complete after the election. “ I have some other responsibilities apart from acting.  Henceforth my life is dedicated to the service  of people,” Ramya informed.

Though it is welcome that the Golden Girl is committed to public service, it is a bitter truth that her fans are  disappointed over her decision. Let us hope the  actress who won hearts through her roles on screen, will now win  hearts  through her public service too.
