Bantwal, Apr 6:A missed call received by an unmarried girl from a young man at Amtoor here turned into friendship.

The youth reportedly told his name as Subhash. He even started coming to her house and it is said that he promised to marry her and allegedly tried to sexually abuse her. When she tried to resist his advances, the youth allegedly snatched her gold earrings and fled.

It is said that he assured her gold jewellery in Kalladka cooperative bank before disappearing.

The girl filed a complained against him in Bantwal town police station and the investigation is on.
