Mangalore: A Free eye camp was organized by DK District Working Journalists Union in association with Nayana Nethralaya at Mangalore Press Club on Tuesday December 3.

Dr Vishnu Prabhu, eye specialist at Nayana Nethralaya inaugurated the Free Eye Camp for Journalists and their family members.
Addressing the gathering, Dr Prabhu said, “The journalists who sit in front of computer and work for whole day will likely have eye sight problem, hence the free camp has been organized.”
It is learnt that the journalists have given time to test their eye at Nayana Nethralaya and further eye camp will be conducted every year for the journalists in order to give importance to their eye even during their busy schedule.
Furthermore the camp will provide free eye test at Nayana Nethralaya located at Karangalpady, if necessary surgery and laser treatment will also be done in concessional fee.
DKWJU president P B Harish Rai presided over the event and welcomed the guests, while general secretary Srinivas Nayak Indaje proposed vote of thanks.
