Vittal/Bantwal:A four member gang of inter-state thieves who were adept at bike lifting and also burgling houses and shops was  arrested in a joint operation  by the DCIB and the Vittal Police at Salettur.

The arrested are Abdul Basheer (21) of Vittalpadnur, K Ibrahim alias Ansu(22) of Kepu village, Mohammad Mansoor alias Manchu(21) of Vittalpadnur and Mohammad Nasir alias Aseer (23) of Bairikatte. Of the four, Basheer was earlier arrested in connection with 11 theft cases and released on bail. Four bikes have also been seized from the accused.

Further investigations are in progress.
