Mangalore : A family in Kotekar is left  in a state of utter grief with the loss of two dear ones on a single day. If Venkatesh Mallya (37), an entrepreneur died  on June 24, Monday due to illness, his father Lakshman Mallya (71) who was unable to bear the grief of the loss of his son, died soon after the last rites of his son. It is said he died due to a cardiac arrest.

Lakshman Mallya was quite a known name in the locality and was active in various organizations. He had served as Trustee of Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Temple and also   as the president of Lions Club of Ullal.
