Mangaluru: Assistant Director Information and Public Relations, Khader Shah inaugurated Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), an exhibition-cum-sale of handicraft and handloom products from the Northeastern states in Mangaluru on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at Woodlands Hotel.
The exhibition will be held till September 14 and has been organized to showcase the rich variety of textiles, handicrafts, bamboo furniture and artefacts of the region, according to a press release.

It is an organized effort to bring the modern readymade garment industry from the North East and a significant step towards the Make in India initiative of the Government. The exhibition is a landmark event held every year to showcase the products from the North East.

The exhibition-cum-sale of exclusive products, especially created by award-winning craft persons and master craft persons from North Eastern States of India will run for a fortnight. A live demonstration of skilled hands that make some of these handicrafts will be on display and will welcome the visitors to the exhibition.
