State government has failed in all fronts: Nalin Kumar Kateel

Bantwal: Accusing the State government of failing on all front in implementing pro-people policies of erstwhile BJP government led by BS Yeddyurappa, BJP member of Parliament Nalin Kumar Kateel termed the State government led by Chief minister Siddaramaiah ‘lifeless’.
Addressing the party supporters at the end of a day-long fast held under the flyover in Bantwal on September 3, MP Nalin said, in the six districts of the state, lakhsof  people are facing trouble with 9/11 documentation while the government is keeping mum on the burning issue.

He accused the State government of supporting sand, timber and cattle mafia and ignoring, coconut, rubber and areca farmers. In spite of repeated pleas to the government, the district in-charge minister failed to respond to people’s problems, but now has shown special interest in leading a delegation to the Chief Minister to address issues when lot of heat was generated by the BJP. He doubted the presence of Ramanath Rai in the State Cabinet as he has failed to hear and respond to farmer’s woes.

He said Rs 19 crores have been sanctioned for road projects connecting Bantwal-Addahole, Bantwal-Mulki via Polali. This apart, Rs 229 crores have been sanctioned for road development from Bantwal- Moodabidri and Karkala and the tender documentation is in progress. He accused the district in-charge minister of taking credit on projects allotted by the Central government as his own.

The valedictory function at the end of day’s fast was attended by MLCs Kota Srinivas Poojary, Captain Ganesh Karnik, former minister Nagaraj Shetty and former MLAs Rukmayya Poojari, Padmanabha Kothari among others. Scores of leaders belonging to Zilla Panchyat and other local bodies participated in the day’s fast which was well attended by hundred of BJP party workers.
