Karkala : A former director of Land Development Bank was assaulted by a person at Kadandale Kedambula  on  the night of Wednesday, April 2.

The victim is Harish Suvarna (45) while the accused has been identified as Ramesh.  It is believed that  Harish Suvarna used to raise objection in a raised voice  whenever  Ramesh interfered in his family matters. Ramesh who was unhappy with this had reportedly assaulted Suvarna.

Sources said the accused barged into Suvarna’s house and then assaulted him. The victim has complained that one Purandar Poojari too abetted Ramesh in the act.

The injured Harish Suvarna has been admitted to Taluk Government Hospital.
