Entry Fee Fixed For Tannirbhavi Blue Flag Beach

In anticipation of the official opening of Tannirbhavi’s Blue Flag beach, admission fees are already being collected from the general public. Adults in the public will pay an entry fee of Rs. 20, while children under the age of 13 will pay Rs. 10. Manikya, the deputy director of tourism in Dakshina Kannada, told TOI that the prices are determined in accordance with the standards set forth for Blue Flag beaches, mainly to fund upkeep.

The formal inauguration is expected to take place once the model code imposed due to the Lok Sabha elections is lifted.” Meanwhile, prices have also been fixed for other facilities, such as birthday celebrations – Rs 500, photoshoots – Rs 1,000, photoshoots with drone – Rs 2,000, film shooting of Tulu films – Rs 5,000 and other languages – Rs 10,000. The Blue Flag beach is an ecotourism model endeavouring to provide tourists/beachgoers clean and hygienic bathing water, facilities/amenities, a safe and healthy environment and sustainable development of the area. Padubidri and Kasarkod beaches of Karnataka have already been certified as Blue Flag beaches. According to the Dakshina Kannada tourism department, almost 90% of work related to the Blue Flag Beach at Tannirbhavi has been completed and the development has taken place as per the norms laid down by the govt.

On 1.7 acres of property, Mangaluru Smart City Limited has taken up the area development at Tannirbhavi Beach. The project will feature seven retail and food stall kiosks, a unique clock tower, an eye-catching feature wall, seating areas that can hold about fifty people, a large parking lot, a beautiful promenade, a pavilion, and a designated jetty point. It will also feature a Mangaluru Frame.
