Muneer further said a request has already been made to the new ministers from the district Ramanatha Rai and UT Khader to ensure action against the erring police officer.

He further questioned why the Mangalore Police Commissioner cannot take action against Jagannath when a constable of Suratkal station was punished for sending a vulgar message to a lady constable.

Saara Aboobakker, renowned writer, social activists Vidya Dinker, Merlyn Martis, Jeevan Kuttar and others spoke.

The protestors also submitted  a memorandum  to the DC seeking stern action against ACP TR Jagannath.
