‘Dravya Kalashabhisheka’ to be held at Kudupu temple on Nov 5

Mangaluru: A newly constructed office building and a religious programme `Dravya Kalashabhisheka`will be held at Kudupu Shri Ananthapadmanabha temple on November 5.

The office building of the temple `Sheshachala` will be inaugurated by the city Mayor and temple trustee Bhaskar K. Meanwhile, `Dravya Kalashabhisheka` will be offered to the deity Ananthapadmanabha in the temple. Informing about the programmes scheduled between November 3 and 5, Bhaskar told mediapersons on Saturday, October 27 that the various religious programmes like `Ganapati Homa`, `Pavamana Abhisheka`,` Prasada Shuddhi`, `Rakshoghna Homa` among others will be held on November 3. Prior to the Dravya Kalashabhisheka programme on November 5, other religious programmes like `Kalasha Poorane`, `Adhivasa Homa`, `Vasthu homa`, `dikpalalaka bali` among others will be held. A religious meeting will also be held on the same occasion, in the presence pontiff of Samputa Narasimha Matt and Subramanya Vidyaprasanna Theertha and Mangaluru North MLA Dr. Y Bharath Shetty will preside over the programme”, he said.

Bhaskar also sought the cooperation of the devotees for the developmental works of the temple like the renovation of `Nagavana`, repair of the chariot, construction of arch among others.

Temple management trustees K Narasimha Tantri, Balakrishna Karantta, temple executive officer Aravinda A Suthangadi and M B Puranik among others were present.
