Kasaragod: A traditional doctor has been arrested by the excise officials for growing ganja plants illegally at his home here on Sunday, July 10.
Dinesh Pai(60) from Adkasthala is the arrested.

Based on a credible information excise officials raided his house and found illegally grown ganja plants. He had told that it was a medicinal plant.

In another incident, a man illegally transporting tobacco products worth Rs 1.50lacs was arrested by the Kasargod police. Kamal(20) from Uttar Pradesh was arrested from Kasargod old bus stand.

Tobacco products have been seized from him. It is learnt that he had brought the products from other states for selling.
