Mangalore : The official website of the DK District Committee of  the Congress was launched  by  State Minister for Forest and Ecology and DK District in-charge Minister B Ramanatha Rai on April 7, Monday at a function held at the party’s Election Office.

Speaking on the occasion, Rai said there was a need to create awareness among the people on the party’s initiatives and its aims, ideals and philosophy particularly at a juncture when attempts were being made to mislead the people through social networking sites.

He said the website aims at sensitizing the people on the party, its principles and its activities and achievements

Congress leaders including Kallige Taranath Shetty, party spokesperson,  Mithun Rai, Youth Congress President, PV Mohan, Shahul Hameed, Harikrishna Bantwal, AC Bhandari and others were present.
