District observes 4th anniversary of Mangalore Air Crash

Mangalore: Observing the fourth anniversary  of the Air India Express crash at Bajpe airport in 2010, the district administration on Thursday May 22 paid homage to the  victims of the crash at Kenjar.

Important delegates of the district were present during the ceremony and they paid their respects to the  departed by offering wreaths and flowers.

District in-charge Minister Ramanatha Rai  who was present on the occasion, sympathized with the victims of  the tragedy. He said that four years ago Mangalore witnessed a great tragedy which is still fresh in everyone’s minds. “I express my condolence to all the families who had to face the loss,” added the minster.

Along with Airport Air Traffic Controller Mahesh Pai, even Air India officials placed wreaths to pay their respects.

Mayor Mahabala Maarla, Deputy Commissioner A B Ibrahim, airport officials, RTO officers, and others were present.
