Mangalore:The district BJP staged a protest in-front of the DC office opposing the petrol price hike by the central govt. today on 2nd of September.

Addressing the protestors, the district president of BJP, Shri Pratap Simha Nayak  said that the congress party responsible for the Independence of our country, has broken the backbone of the economy by its irresponsible measures. Due to this, depreciation of rupee has lead to increase in the prices of various goods which has hampered the life of the common man. To add to the woes of the common man, the central govt. has increased the fuel prices which will result in increase in the prices of grocery and other day to-day goods as a chain reaction.

So the central government should reduce the fuel prices with immediate effect and take measures to stop the depreciation of rupee in the international market.

District BJP Ex-president Padmanabha Kottari, ex-president of state child welfare committee Sulochana Bhat,MLC Monappa Bhandary and others were present at the occasion.
