Kasargod: A red corner notice has been issued by the Interpol to trace a couple from Kasargod, CV Sadik (32) and his wife Khadheejath Naufa (28), residents of Palakunnu for allegedly duping investors capital to the tune of Rs 300 crore.
It is reported that the two had floated a bogus company named Global Trading Solution and swindled money in the form of deposits from people hailing from various places, through agents promising investors of better returns. The swindled amount runs into approximately Rs 300 crore.
In 2011, Sadik, the MD of the company and Naufa, the director of the firm went missing with all the money.
The two are facing a total of 46 cases against them in Palakkad alone and it is said that Chennai police are also on a look out for them over the four pending fraud cases registered against them.
Sources indicate that the duo have escaped to the Gulf.
