The Bonda Factory located in Adyar, which was embroiled in controversy following allegations of contamination in its products, has been cleared of any wrongdoing in the recent lab report.
According to the lab report received by the Health Department, no toxic substances were detected in the tender coconut water supplied by the company.
The incident occurred on April 9, triggering a wave of concern after it was circulated on social media that many individuals in the locality fell ill after consuming Bonda water from the factory. Subsequent investigations included the collection of blood, urine, and stool samples from the affected individuals, which revealed the presence of bacteria.
