Mangalore, Jan 25: National Voters day was organized jointly by the election officer’s office and district administration on Saturday at Town hall, Nehru Maiden. Several students from various colleges in and around Mangalore came together to mark the day.
















Addressing the gathering B. V. Prakash, principal district and sessions judge, Dakshina Kannada said that there is a need to create awareness among the citizens of India in order to vote a eligible candidate. Voters are more powerful than the politicians. We should rise above caste, creed and religion while voting and select people who can really represent the society.
Chief guest Prof Narayana Bhandary, HOD, Political Science of SVS College, deputy commissioner AB Ibrahim, ADC K Dayanand, Shivakumar Mangalore city deputy police commissioner were also present on the dais.
