Mangalore: An Awareness walkathon was organised at Light House Hill road on Jan 25, Saturday as part of the 25th Road Safety Week. Students from various colleges and schools participated in the walkathon which was flagged off by Minister for forest, ecology and environment Ramanath Rai.







In his address Rai expressed his concern over the rising number of road accidents and added awareness on traffic management and rules will go a long way in reducing the number of road mishaps.
DC A.B. Ibrahim, DK Regional Transport Officer A.A. Khan, DCP Jagadish were present on the occasion.
The theme of the 25th Road Safety Week is “When on the road always say Pehele Aap.”
