Childrens Gram Sabha demands equal facilities to Govt, pvt schools

Bantwal : All facilities and amenities provided by the government to the students of Government  schools must be extended to students of non-government schools too. This was demand placed forth by children of Karopady Gram Panchayat during the Childrens Gram Sabha for the year 2013-14 held  on December 17, Tuesday.The Gram Sabha was presided over by Mohammad Niyaz.

Responding to the demands placed forth by the students, Panchayat President A Abdul Jaleel  said the Panchayat was committed to ensure quality education to students studying in various schools in the village.

The participant students also demanded sanctioning of a high school to the village and also adequate number of teachers to the school.

GP Vice President Sooryakanthi, Lolakshi, Supervisor of the Department of Women and Child Welfare and  Pratibha Kumari, Senior Health Assistant of Kanyana Primary Health Centre were the resource persons.

The meeting also deliberated on the  issue of child rights. GP members, school teachers and Anganavadi workers took part in the meeting.
