Kasargod : A three and a half year old child who was critically injured in an autorickshaw accident at Kollampady  in Kasargod recently, has succumbed to his injuries at a hospital in Mangalore where he was admitted for treatment.

The  deceased boyo is Rifana, son of Faizal of Chemnad Vadakkam. The mishap took place  on February 1, Sunday evening, when the autorickshaw in  which he was travelling with his family knocked down a pedestrian and overturned. The family was returning home after visiting a relative at Anangur Tippunagar when tragedy struck.

Rifana’s  mother Haseena (27), sister Rida (6) and  grand mother Zohara (45) also sustained injuries in the mishap and are receiving treatment in the  hospital.

A case has been registered against the autorickshaw driver.
