Mangaluru: Mangaluru North MLA Mohideen Bawa has said that the central government was misleading the poor and putting them into unnecessary hardship in Ujwal LPG scheme.
In a press release, MLA Bava alleged that the central government had provided the LPG connection with only cylinder and nothing else. “Opposition BJP members in his constituency are asking the beneficiaries of Ujwal scheme to contact the area MLA for LPG stove and associated accessories. How can they resort to these tactics in a fully sponsored central government Ujwal scheme?,” questioned MLA Bava and alleged that the Centre was blaming the state government for its lapses.
“To plug those loopholes, the state government came out with Mukyamantri Anila Bhagya Scheme wherein the beneficiaries will get the LPG Cylinder along with stove, pipe and regulator. In case beneficiaries face any problems, they are free to contact me,” stated Bava in the press release.
“The state government has implemented the “Chief Minister’s Gas Project” to eliminate the confusion of the public. The gas cylinder, regulator, pipe and stove will be available for free in this project. It will be distributed soon. The public can contact me directly if they are confused about this”, he informed.
