Case booked against one for disrupting communal harmony

Mangaluru: The Mangaluru South Police registered a case against one person for trying to disrupt communal harmony by posting hate comments on social media on Friday, April 17.

The accused has been identified as Vishwanath, a resident of Mangaluru city. According to the police, the man was posting provocative messages on social media to promote enmity between two different communities.

Meanwhile, Mangaluru Commissioner of Police Dr P S Harsha asked the public not to make provocative statements and to not pay heed to any rumours. No one will be spared if they try to disrupt the harmony, he warned.
