Mangalore : Save Netravathi activists under the aegis of the Sahyadri Samrakshana Sanchaya  celebrated World Environment Day by organising a unique programme called ‘Bella –Baajel’ (Jaggery-Water) at Hampankatta in the city on Thursday June 5 with a call to Save Netravathi.

The speakers at the function  while highlighting the vital role which River Netravathi, the lifeline of the region plays, lashed out at the government for trying to  render the district barren through the Yettinahole Project.
