Mangalore:”Both the congress and BJP have cheated the Muslim community in the nation on the for Vote Bank” said CPI(M) General Secretary Prakash Karat.
He was addressing the convention organized to demand the constitutional rights of the Muslim community by the CPIM district unit in the Shanthi Nilaya Auditorium in the city.
He said, “The Muslim community is backward because of this own beliefs. The present central govt. has no interest to improve the condition of the community. It is counting days for no reason to appoint the Ranganathan Mishra Committee which aims to give employment to the youth with poor economic condition of the community. It has also neglected the party’s request’s to appoint the Mishra committee, in the Parliament.”
Speaking about BJP he said “BJP has taken the Muslims to the political Arena because of the votes of the muslims but along with RSS it is trying to make India as an Hindu country and he also mentioned about the political stunts performed by the party in the various cow-slaughter cases.”
Before concluding he said “Today political parties are dividing the people of different community through communal riots. Hence there is a need to formulate a law against the communal riots and the party will fight for the formulation of the law in the parliament.”
CITU state chief secretary D Madhav, Ex-MLA GV Ramareddy, CPIM District secretary Yaadav Shetty, DYFI Dist. President Muneer Katipalla and others were present at the occasion.
