Mangalore: State Minister for Health and Family Welfare UT Khader has stressed the need for politicians to undergo training to develop patience and spirituality as they are essential to lead a peaceful life.
Participating a programme on ‘The Future of Power’ organised by Brahmakumaris at the TMA Pai Convention Hall on October 27, Sunday, he said every religion advocates peace and tolerance.
Nizam Jumma, businessman who spoke on the occasion said if Indians were interested in imitating the West, the West is looking towards India and is inspired by its ancient wisdom and values.
B Ramanatha Rai, State Minister for Forest and Ecology and DK District Minister also spoke on the occasion.
The message of Brahmakumaris Chief Dada Janki was presented before the gathering in a direct video presentation.
A panel discussion on ‘Spirituality and Power’ was organised as part of the programme. Helen Sayers, Director of Oasis Life, Skills, and Training Services, Oman, Lakshmi Kumaran of MRPL, and VU George,participated in the discussions.
Dancers from Nrithya Niketana Group Kodavoor presented a Bharatanatyam performance. Management and communication specialists from UK, US, Australia and Africa took part in the programme.
