Bantwal:The body of Praveen Kulal (20) of Kadeshwalya who had drowned  while having a bath in Netravathi  River at Manjalpade in Sajipamunnur village, has been found  on the river bank at  Tokkottu on September 10, Tuesday morning. The mishap had taken place on September 8, Sunday. The body of Praveen was decomposed and was identified on the basis of the innerwear  he was wearing.

Praveen Kulal had been to Manjalpade to attend the wedding of Harish, son of Duggappa Poojari and had been to the river along with friends Kiran Amtur, Kamalaksha Shanthigudde and Vijay. He was eventually washed away in the strong currents even as his friends tried their level best to rescue him. Expert divers and fire service personnel had  then made a thorough search for the body but in vain. The body was eventually traced on the river banks near Tokkottu on Tuesday.
