Udupi: “When Shobha was in the Ministry, BJP leaders themselves were involved in many cases related to atrocities against women, for example BJP MLA’s wife’s death, Blue film at Parliament , Renuka Acharya issue and so on”, said District in-charge minister Vinay Kumar Sorake after inaugurating the Padha Yatra from Congress Bhavan on Saturday March 15

He further said that Shobha should resign from her ministership for all such atrocities and then she should comment about the women’s rights, only then will her speech be justified. Thus we can assume that her blabbering talks are only limited for the sake of elections, he alleged.

The UPA government has been successful in fulfilling all most 70 percent of the promises from the previous election manifesto. Central and State UPA government had done excellent development work with the help of Oscar and Veerappa Moily, added Sorake.

Sorake also said that JP Hegde had very short ruling tenure. As development is concerned JP Hegde is one of the best MP out of 28 representatives. Congress workers want every voter to understand the UPA development plans and give him a chance to rule for complete 5 years.

Such padha yatra has also been organized in Karkala, Kundapura, Kaup and Bindoor too he added.

Pramodh Madwaraj, MLA said that Under Rajeev Awaz Yojana 1500 houses were given free electricity. Such small works are happening without much publicity. Congress always stands for poor people and BJP stands only for the corporate sections of the society, he said.
