Mangalore: A bike rider died on the spot after his vehicle skid and he was run over by a bus near the Balmatta Circle here on January 13, Monday morning.

The deceased has been identified as 29-year-old Dr Gajanana Sridhar Bhat, a resident of Pinto’s Lane at Karangalpady.

It is learnt that Dr Gajanana Sridhar Bhat was heading towards Kankanady from Balmatta  when his vehicle skid and he fell on the road.

A service bus (KA-19 C-3877) which was behind the bike, was heading towards Vittal that ran over him and he died on the spot.

The Kadri Traffic police have registered a case.
