Belthangady police arrest duo for robbery

Belthangady: Two individuals allegedly who had stolen  areca, a Tata Venture van and a Maruti 800 car all valued at around Rs 10 lakh were arrested by the Belthangady Police on Thursday January 17.  The stolen goods have been recovered.

The arrested have been identified as 38-year-old Hameed of Padangady and 28-year-old Mohammad Isac of Kuvettu villages.

It has been alleged that the duo was involved in the  thefts reported from  Maddadka and Totattadi Milk Producers Society.

They had also reportedly stolen areca from Aravind Traders of Nelyadi, A One Traders in Alankar and the shop of Isac of Kakkepadavu.

The two were arrested at Guruvayanakera. Investigations are underway.
