Bantwal: “They rescued me after I met with an accident. Though I persuaded them to get a selfie with me, they refused to pose for the photo claiming that they are not politicians to highlight their work. They also informed that it was their duty to rescue and give justice to the public” says Adithya Narayan in a Facebook post appreciating the selfless service of Bantwal police. Expressing his pleasure over the quick action of the police, Adithya Narayan has called police as real warriors.
In his Facebook post, Adithya Narayan narrates the chronology of the incident that happened on Saturday, June 6. At 9.30 pm he finished a meeting at Karkala and was heading to Puttur. As he reached Melkar, a truck came from the opposite direction without dimming his headlights. Due to this, his two-wheeler veered to the side of the road and he fell down. He was unable to stand and at this point; he tried to call the ambulance and police helpline number 100. However, he didn’t get a quick response. Later, he found the contact number of the Bantwal sub-inspector on Google. When he called the SI, he responded quickly and asked his station personnel to reach the spot with a van. The highway patrol vehicle also arrived along with the van of Bantwal police station. The police and home guard personnel in the vehicle gave him first aid and also made small repairs on his vehicle and helped him.
After narrating his story, Adithya informed the media that instead of highlighting the atrocities of police, media should emphasize the good work of the police as well.
