Bantwal – a bit sensitive, we need public co-operation : New DySP Rashmi

Bantwal :
“ I hail from Hubli,  was posted to Bantwal from Hampi.  Bantwal is new  to me. Crime cases are as usual, still Bantwal is a little bit sensitive, isn’t it? … Our work will be easy if public co-operate,”  said  Bantwal DySP Rashmi. B. Paraddy.

Rashmi who took charge as DySP of Bantwal Police Sub-Division on February 18, said as above during her interaction with media men at her office on February 21, Friday.

She  spoke in Hubli Kannada style and  said “ It is  the duty of the department to ensure harmony and law and order. The Department will initiate stern action whenever the need arises. We will be always be alert as far as communal issues are concerned.”

Rashmi who  responded to issues pertaining to traffic problems at BC road, parking woes and problems created by fast food outlets, said she would hold talks with TMC officials in this regard.

“ A wrong message should not go to the people. We need your co-operation, ” the new DySP asserted.  Referring to contentious issues, she said “Please discuss with us before publishing anything.”

Rashmi who  was earlier serving as DySP in Hampi, has  promised to  discharge her duties without any discrimination.

On the lack of amenities at the office, she said  proposal has been put forth to improve the facilities. “ We are hoping something would  materialise. But we cannot keep quiet just because there are no facilities. “We have to carry on our duty,” she smiled as she said so.
