Karkala: A 15 year old girl from Bangalore who had come to Karkala to attend the house warming ceremony of a relative, has met a watery grave at Ramasamudra on Saturday May 3.

The deceased is Saundarya  form Yalahanka. She was an SSLC student and had come to Miyyar Kuntibailu to attend the house warming ceremony of her uncle. It is said on Saturday she had visited another relative’s house at Mangalapade.

She had reportedly come to Ramasamudra along with relatives to wash clothes as there was water shortage in the area. However, tragically she slipped and drowned in the lake.

The body has been retrieved with the help of fire service personnel. A case has been registered in town police station.
