Aziz murder case: accused arrested

Kasargod: The four accused in the case of murder  38-year-old Balige Aziz on the night of January 25 were arrested by the Kumble police on Tuesday February 4.

The arrested have been identified as 30-year-old Ammi alias Hameed, a resident of Paivalike Ambikana; 23-year-old Shafi, a resident of Kalai; 23-year-old Mohammed Rafeeq, a resident of Salethur and 23-year-old Chotu Shafi, a resident of Paivalike.

The Kumble police led by circle inspector Sibi Thomas arrested the four persons while they were travelling in a car.

Police also recovered the clothes worn by the accused while committing the murder and murder weapons from a private property in Paivalike. As many as 18 persons have been booked in this case, including those who abetted the murder by financing or other indirect means.

Balige Aziz, a resident of Paivalike in Kasargod district, was murdered by a group on the night of January 25 on Paivalike – Chevar road.
