Mysore : An Autorickshaw Prepaid Service Counter was opened in front of the Varaha Entrance of Mysore Palace on December 10, Tuesday under the aegis of the Police Department. MP Vishwanath inaugurated the Centre by issuing the ticket to the first customer.
Speaking on the occasion, the MP informed that the facility has been extended upto Koorgalli and Paduvaralli. He also urged the public to make the best use of the prepaid auto facility.
This facility would prevent autorickshaw drivers from fleecing passengers. Moreover it can also ensure safety of passengers, he said.
This is the first such centre to be opened while autorickshaw drivers are demanding setting up of four centres. The MP assured to fulfil the demand and added the prepaid counter was best considering the increasing number of tourists visiting the city.
