Bantwal: Nine passengers including the driver were injured, when an auto rickshaw roled over besides the road at S V S College, here.

The injured has been identified as auto rickshaw driver Ismail, passengers Khatijamma, Iddinabba, Yasid, Nazeem, Samsuddin, children Nasrat, Anisha and Shahid.  The injured were admitted in a private hospital at Mangalore .  Ismail and elderly Khatijamma are reported to be in critical condition.

The auto rickshaw was plying from Kuppepadav to Bantwal, when it overturned at nearby S V S College, here.  The reckless driving of driver in a steep curve led to the mishap.  As a result, the auto rickshaw was fully damaged.  

The entire family of Khateejamma was travelling in auto rickshaw to their relatives homes, on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.

Bantwal police registered a case in this regard.
