Bantwal: Yet another case of moral policing has come to light, as a brother and sister who were traveling along  with a friend of another community were  allegedly thrashed near BC Road Police station on Thursday July 3.

According to the reports, Ankitha was traveling along with her brother Kiran and his friend Wasim Rahim to collect her documents and certificates from her ex-school in Kalladka.

As they were traveling towards Kalladka, they were forced to alight from the bus and an altercation ensued, as by-standers gathered at the spot.  The police who rushed to the spot brought the situation under control by advising them to visit the Bantwal Town Police Station located at B C Road.

When travelling by an autorickshaw towards the police station, they were waylaid by three miscreants and Wasim Rahim and his two friends were pulled out of the rickshaw and attacked in what seems to be a clear-cut case of  moral policing. A shocked Ankitha along with her brother Kiran later filed a complaint with the Police.
