Mangaluru: Mangaluru South Anti Rowdy Squad and Ullal Police, in a joint operation, have nabbed a notorious history-sheeter named Rafeeq on K C Road based on a definite tip-off on February 1.

Mohammed Rafeeq alias Nappate Rafeeq (29) was also wanted in the latest case registered against him in Ullal Police Station limits, after he had allegedly threatened and verbally abused a woman in Siliconia Apartments. Rafeeq, a resident of Uppala in Kasargod district, Kerala had reportedly barged into the apartment in Kuttarpadav area of Someshwara village along with his accomplices and had issued death threats to the woman resident.

Rafeeq has 13 cases against him in different police stations including 3 cases of murder, one case each related to attempt to murder and kidnap pending against him. Rafeeq was absconding evading court proceedings, despite an arrest warrant pending against him in Puttur City Police Station.
