Acclaimed classical singer Ranjani Hebbar no more

Udupi : Ranjani Hebbar, a well-known and acclaimed Carnatic classical singer, died at the KMC Hospital at Manipal on June 9, Sunday night at a very young age. Ranjani was just 30 years old and was battling cancer since some months. She is survived by her husband, Guruprasad, a software engineer in Chennai and her parents.

Daughter of Vasanthalakshmi and Aravind Hebbar, a professor in Botany, Ranjani was an exceptional classical singer. She  had even completed her postgraduation in classical music from Madras University. Also she was an A grade artiste with All India Radio. Ranjani had also won a number of scholarships.
